18 comments to Change what you can, accept what you can’t
Loved it! Your message is always powerful, but hearing that slight draw in your voice is extra comforting to this southern girl! The message was especially well timed as I try to figure out where faith fits into my life. I was late finding your site, so I am just a couple of days into the journey. I am working on accepting my imperfections. Sounds easy but… jeri recently posted..What if it was God…
Thank you Bernice – nicely done. I’m working hard on accepting the fact that caring for my aging father is now part of my life. The more I struggle against it, the harder I make it for myself (and for him). Thanks for the reminder that acceptance and serenity go hand in hand.
I know there are things I cannot change, and I know there are things that I can. I also get that life is to be enjoyed, and we must find the joy, and then share what we’ve found. I’ve had 3 major stressors in 6 months, and the only way I’ve found to live with them is one day at a time, and search out the joy in life. Luckily I live in a beautiful part of the country. namaste.
