Out of balance? Overwhelmed?
Many people today feel like their lives are out of control. They are overwhelmed at everything they must do in their day-to-day life. Many feel that they are barely keeping their head above water. That is what happened to me in 2010. You can read more about that here, if you’d like.
I worked very hard and many hours doing lots of things I thought I needed to do, and I began to feel overwhelmed, but I continued to press on. I wore a mask so that no one would know just how stressed and depressed I was. I kept up the persona that I had it all together. I didn’t want to admit I was struggling or to ask for help.
Eventually that backfired on me, as I know it has for some of you as well. Or you may still be wearing your mask and trying to keep up with everything. But your life may be barely hanging on, just waiting for one more thing to come along and push you over the edge.
The Journey begins
This is the reason that I have created the 8 week Journey to Balance. The Journey is designed to help you define your priorities, and then learn how to implement them and live them in your everyday life. This is not just a time management system, it will help you with your overall view of life and how to deal with it.
There are 8 basic areas of our lives that we need to work to maintain balance and care for ourselves. During our 8 week journey, we will first be Defining Our Priorities, and then we will basically address one area each week. There will be 2 or 3 posts per week, along with some assignments designed to help you process and implement what you are learning.
You can read the posts and do the assignments at your own pace, and jump in whenever you can, but you will get the most benefit by working at it as consistently as possible.
We will begin our Journey on January 2! Be sure to subscribe to get all the updates! FREE to participate!
